Saturday Sit and Snack

This is our new Block of the Month sampler series! Enjoy Diane's 1/2 hour demo of a new technique or tool used for that month's Block while munching on goodies provided by the Pincushion. Salty or sweet? Who knows? Don't miss out! Bring your finished block to the next month's meeting and get your next pattern and kit FREE!* Fall behind? No worries! Want to create an even bigger quilt? We've got the answer! Diane will present a pattern and kit for a mystery "Bonus Block" every month which will be available to purchase for $5. What a deal!

*Free kit and pattern are specifically the Saturday Sit and Snack pattern and kit. The entire series is done in coordinated batiks. Finished block size is 12". You choose the colorway: Tropical Glow or Mountain Retreat, click here for a picture.

Once a month, the Wednesday after the "Saturday Sit and Snack,"* come to the Pincushion between 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Bring your sewing machine, a project to work on, or whatever, and enjoy 3 hours of undisturbed quilting! One of the Pincushion's experienced quilters will be on hand to help you with any questions you may have. You don't need to sign up, just show up! One thing though: if there's no one here by 7:00pm, we pack up and leave. So if you need to give us a call before you come, feel free. Bring your sewing machines and projects for some fun!

Due to the fact that most of our staff will be attending the Road to California in mid-January, we're going to have to change the date of January's Block of the Month. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, January 26th (our regular Wednesday Snack and Sew will remain the same, January 23rd).

About our Classes...

When you take a class at the Pincushion, we intend to teach you the basic concepts for the class project. In most classes, time allowed is not enough to finish the project. Our goal is to provide you ample time to grasp the concept of the class. Most projects will need to be completed at home.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Pincushion Boutique cannot guarantee that classes will take place as scheduled. Sometimes we do not have enough students enrolled to meet the teacher minimums. As a result, we highly recommend waiting until the week of class to purchase your class supplies. We'd hate for you to have all your supplies months ahead of time only to have your class cancel.

Class Rules and Regulations:

Classes must be paid for at registration.

Classes may be canceled, and refunds given, if minimum student requirements are not met.

No refunds will be issued for student cancellations with less than 14 day notice.

No auditing of classes.

Students under the age of 16 will not be allowed to rotary cut unless parent is enrolled with them.

No children under age 12 may be enrolled in a class.

NO CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM UNLESS ENROLLED IN A CLASS. YOU MAY NOT BRING INFANTS OR TODDLERS TO CLASS WITH YOU.

Remember your sewing machine and supplies and be able to use your sewing machine with minimal guidance.

You may schedule use of one of our two sewing machines for class with advance notice. A deposit is required.

Please be on time and dress comfortably.

We recommend bringing a sack lunch for day-long classes.
